This past weekend the girls traveled to NASHVILLE for a Bachelorette Weekend! We left on Friday morning around 11am. When we got there we checked into the hotel and immediately changed into our bathing suits and hit the pool and hot tub. The pool was too cold for everyone except Laine, but we enjoyed the hot tub. Then we went back to the room and changed into comfortable clothes, went down to the hotel lobby and waited for Kriston (my sister) to arrive, while enjoying a free happy hour provided by the hotel. Yes, I said FREE! Once Kriston got there, we all went up to the room for a lingerie shower and pizza. I got alot of really cute and tasteful things. Stuff I will actually wear. My friends and family must know me well.
On Saturday, we got up early and headed out to Opry Mills mall for a day of shopping. We got to the mall before they were even open, got a great front row parking spot and just waited for the doors to open. Once they did, it was no turning back. We shopped until about 4pm that afternoon. Everyone had sore feet by this time. So we piled into the care and headed over to the Greenhills mall for manicure and pedicures at the Venetian Nail Spa. This place was amazing. There had to be 30 people working in this place at one time. We walked in and everyone was able to sit down at the same time and get a pedicure. A few of us even got manicures while sitting in the pedicure chair. After that we headed over to the mall and did just a little more shopping. Then made our way to The Cheesecake Factory (my favorite place to eat in Nashville). Dinner was great and I was so full I could not even eat any cheesecake. Laine and Laci ordered a piece and I had a bite of each of theirs, that was plenty for me because I was already hurting from dinner. After dinner we headed back to the hotel for a quick wardrobe change and then headed out on the town. We went to Decades, which is an 80's bar and Cadillac Ranch. Laine had made me a very cute veil and bought a sash and blinking pin that said BACHELORETTE! There was no mistaking that I was the one getting married soon. We had a blast dancing and then headed back to the hotel.
On Sunday, we got up and showered and then went back to the Opry Mills mall to pick up a few things we saw that we just couldn't live without and then ate lunch at The Aquarium. The food was great and the atmosphere was very neat!
After a great weekend of shopping and pampering, we drove back to Memphis. We all had a great time, but were ready to get back home. I think we were all completely exhausted!
