What's new with Walker

At his 1 year check up....

Weight: 22lbs (50%)

Length: 29 3/4 inches (50%)

Head: didn't tell be anything other than 50% also

He has been off his bottle and strickly on sippy cups since about 3 weeks before his first birthday. He is also no longer eating baby food. He loves anything to eat, we have to tell him he can't have any more most of his meals because he will just keep eating. He thinks if you open the refridgerator and pantry it is to get him something. His pediatrician keeps telling me it will change and he won't eat anything, but I am still waiting.

He talk all the time. His current vocabulary includes:

* Dog

* Ball

* More

* Milk

* Momma

* Dadda

* Bye

He loves to watch Sarge at the door and say "Dog"

He loves to "read" his books. He opens the cabinet door and gets them all out and throws them in the floor. Then he will sit down at look at some of them.

He is such a sweet little boy. He loves to give you a kiss. Open mouth of course! But everytime he does it, it just melts my heart. I LOVE him so much!

He like to talk on the phone. He holds it up to his hear and says, "O. Daddy" for Hello, Daddy

He loves to play chase. Crawling around of course. He starts crawling and then looks back to make sure you are coming and then starts laughing.

He likes to point to things he wants now. If you ask him where his nose is, he points to your nose. haha If you ask him where is belly button is, he points to his belly.

Enjoying this weather...

Walker and I have been enjoying the nice weather this week. We have gone on wagon rides, long walks through the neighborhood and swinging in the backyard. I LOVE spending time with my little man. He is at such a fun age right now!

Walker's First Birthday 1/28/11

Walker's first birthday was spent with a day full of first! He woke up and started that day off with pancakes for breakfast! With no syrup of course, but he didn't know any better and LOVED them!
Then we all got ready and went for Walker's FIRST haircut! He was such a big boy. He sat in Daddy's lap and didn't cry or anything. He just kept turning around to see what the lady was doing.
After this, we headed home for a nap for Walker. When he woke up Mommy, Daddy, Walker and Grandpa headed to the zoo for Walker's First trip to the zoo. The weather was perfect and such a nice day. There was hardly anyone at the zoo so we really got to enjoy ourselves.
After the zoo, we came home and to eat dinner and open presents. Walker got to open presents from Mommy and Daddy and then Aunt Kriston, Uncle Jason, Ellison and Garrett.
Then it was off the bed to prepare for Walker's First Birthday party the next day.................

Happy 2nd Birthday Ellison!

This past weekend Walker and I made the trip to Knoxville for Ellison 2nd Birthday. We left on Thursday and arrived late afternoon in Knoxville. Walker did great on the car ride and I was so glad since this was the first trip we have ever made by ourselves. On Friday, which was Ellison actual birthday, we got up and enjoyed breakfast and then made our way to the Mall to do fun stuff with Ellison. We started out at Build-A-Bear, where Ellison made a Ladybug and named her "Lady". She really enjoyed making her and picking out her clothes. Of course, she picked out her shoes first and then we had to match the outfit to the shoes. Typical girl! Then we headed over to the food court and had some chick-fil-a for lunch. Ellison was able to have ice cream from there for the first time after some investigation from the managers to see if it had egg in it or not. Then we just did some shopping and returned home to open presents after dinner. Saturday afternoon we went to Ellison's Birthday Party. We had such a great time. It was at a local gymnastics place where Ellison goes every Wednesday to open gym. It was perfect for all ages. Walker even had blast. All the kids played so hard and just ran around everywhere. It was so hard to get good pictures of them because they were all running from one thing to the next. Sunday morning we woke up early and headed back to Memphis. Just in time too, because we got lots on snow on Sunday night! Happy Birthday to my sweet little Ellison. You are truly a blessing to our family and I can't believe you are already 2 years old. It seems like just yesterday I was flying down I-40 to get to the hospital to meet your sweet little face. I love you with all my heart.

Walker's First Christmas

Well, this Christmas was an unforgettable one in many ways! Jason, Kriston, and Ellison arrived on Thursday night. It was pretty late, so we just got them settled in and went to bed. The next morning we all got up and played for a while. MeMe came over to play also.
Christmas Eve afternoon we went over Mamaw and Papaw's to celebrate Christmas with them.

Then we went home and get ready for Santa to come. Once Walker was fast asleep,

we got busy with Santa! Brent and I really enjoyed getting all his stuff out and set up for him to see in the morning. Including Walker's plate for Santa. Walker and I went to paint a piece earlier in the week with some friends and made a plate and ornament for Walker's First Christmas.

and shortly after this I came down with the stomach virus. Ellison had already had it on Christmas Eve night and I got it Christmas night. The Wilson's left a day early in fear of all of us just getting sick. Walker then got it the day after Christmas along with Jason. Other than the stomach bug, we had a great FIRST Christmas with Walker and are looking forward to many more.
